Mathematics and Computer
RHIS places great emphasis on the attainment of the objectives of secondary school mathematics and associated curricula contents. The Students are therefore, adequately prepared to meet the requirements of various examination bodies such as Cambridge, WAEC, JAMB and NECO.
Liberal Arts and Language
RHIS teaches English, French, Yoruba and Igbo Languages as core subjects. There are facilities for the teaching of French as a foreign language, audio-visual facilities, exposure to foreign-based programmes, and excursions to Francophone countries.
RHIS I Liberal Arts Department comprise of subjects such as History, Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies, and Government. The Department ensures that Students participate actively in interesting and educative programmes such as debates,
Science

Vocational
RHIS puts a lot of premium on the teaching of vocational subjects. The teaching of vocational subjects at RHIS aims at creating self-awareness and development of creative abilities in our Students. It also serves to bring drama, poetry competitions and other literary activities organized from time to time. These afford Students an ample opportunity to acquire a wide variety of literary knowledge, made in equipping the Science laboratories. The School has also engaged highly competent Science Teachers who are adequately utilizing the wide varieties of excellent facilities.
Social Sciences
RHIS Social Sciences Department grants students first-hand opportunity of learning the basics of accountability and management. Key subjects offered in the social sciences include Economics, Accounting, Geography, Commerce and Business Studies.
Introductory Technology
Introductory Technology covers a wide range of skills, including Technical drawing. RHIS woodwork, electronics and automobile technology students work with a great variety of materials, including metals, wood plastic and ceramics. The Students are encouraged to use all these facilities in their spare time and on weekends. They are also encouraged to undertake projects of practical value.
Our Library
RHIS Library is stocked with non-fiction, classics and quality fiction books with a plan to continuously fill the shelves with the relevant resource materials alongside developing a comprehensive reference section.
The library provides an ample space for private study and all Students are encouraged to make full use of the facilities. The librarian and his Staff are always on hand to provide help and advice as may be required.
Guidance and Career Counseling
RHIS places emphasis on guidance and counseling. This is exemplified in our tutorial system. The classroom environment is quite conducive for learning with the maximum number of Students being 18 per class. Supervision is easier and more thorough. Academically weak students are easily identified and helped through the remedial lessons which are organized for them.
Career Advice
RHIS is well equipped to offer detailed advice about further education and career choices. Specialists are invited to the School regularly to speak to our Students on career opportunities and institution of higher learning which offers such courses in Nigeria and abroad.
Counseling Unit
RHIS has a team of full time professional Guidance Counselors, who help the students in dealing with their various needs, ranging from personal relationships, study skills, social, moral and health education
